Arduino plus GSM / GPS shield and Google Earth to create a GPS tracker
Arduino with GSM / GPS shield A new version of the library and the example program for the Arduino GSM/GPRS/GPS-Shield is available. Version 1.2 allows for both the Arduino Duemilanove/UNO, as well as for the Arduino Mega2560 to transmit the current GPS coordinates in formatted form via SMS. This data can then be entered to […]
ANTplus (ANT+) radio in smart phone will control machines
Last week I proposed to one of my project customers to use an ANTplus (ANT+) powered smart phone as remote control for their machines. As we all know, there is no Bluetooth LE available. The other reason was that the costs for qualification with ANTplus are much lower than with Bluetooth LE. Even if we […]
Oh Santa won’t you buy me a color Android TV
Santa, I assume you remember the TV show Dialing for Dollars. Dialing for Dollars will not find me, because they are from the States. I am living in good old Germany. Janis Joplin already asked your boss for the color TV. Anyhow, like Janis I need some help. The new Android powered TV of Sony […]
First snow in 2010 – Santa Claus please help me with a Bluetooth or Bluetooth Low Energy controlled robot to clean the sideway!
We all have access to the new integrated circuit that already comes with Bluetooth and a micro controller like the MD8710 The MD8710 was planned to be used in the healthcare sector for medical applications, but why not using it for my new smart home? As mentioned in an earlier blog post, we all will […]
AC wall outlet with integrated mobile phone
AC wall outlet with integrated mobile phone – mobile phone with integrated AC wall outlet , remotely controlled with any land-line or mobile phone. With a simple voice-call using any land-line or mobile phone a 230V consumer can be switched ON and OFF. Control commands (ON, OFF, …) are typed in over the phone keypad […]
Cellular antenna working inside all-metal case
Capacitive-feed antenna that can be enclosed in an all-metal mobile handset case People that know and follow me a longer period already note that I am reading and collecting anything about embedded cellular antennas that looks unique. My hard disk is full with files about special small embedded antennas. Today I make a text public […]
M2M module: Embedded Linux, ARM9, GPRS module, USB and further Interfaces
Today I would like to show and to talk about a new Linux based application for wireless M2M. The PCB is already in use in several projects. Based on its enclosure it can be used as a final product for end users. It supports a lot of interfaces like SD card / MMC card, GPIO Pins , AD / DA converter, UARTs, USB Device, USB Host, I2C, SPI and JTAG. At GPIO you will find PMW (Pulse Wide Modulation), counters and other intelligent channels.
Arduino with GSM GPRS GPS Shield
… the extension module for GSM / GPRS and GPS
The open-source physical computing platform Arduino, based on easily applicable hardware and software for the development of prototypes, consists of a micro controller
(ATmega328) with numerous digital as well as analogue inputs and outputs and interfaces…
Arduino boards can be expanded to valuable features by plugging the so-called ”Shields”. With the GSM / GPRS/ GPS-Shield the Arduino board is enabled to use GSM (mobile communication) and GPS functionality (navigation), for example
Reference design for RFID temperature data logger
With a data logger reference design based on the 64-Kbit Dual Interface EEPROM (M24LR64), a low power Microcontroller (STM8L101) and a digital temperature sensor (STTS75) you can develop your data logger quick and easy. It measures temperature, and offers an RF access to the data of the application thanks to the ISO15693 interface of the […]
