This quarter I have a lot of IoT / M2M news for you:
1. Update IoT / M2M Cookbook
Since 4 weeks the update is on the server, listed here:
http://www.gsm-modem.de/M2M/m2m_iot_cookbook/
More than 12 pages are related to ceramic chip loop antennas for GPS/GLONASS and Bluetooth. Loop antennas have no hand effect and will not have a resonant frequency shift by touching the enclosure or PCB.
2. My three-hour antenna tutorial at Wireless Congress in Munich, 9th. to 10th. Nov 2016
Parallel to the exhibition Electronica this year is the two-day congress at the same location. The agenda of the congress looks great. There are four training rooms in parallel. Every presentation and workshop are related to Wireless IoT. See agenda here:
http://www.wireless-congress.com/program.html
www.megiq.com and I will share our experience and will show how to design in antennas. My presentation on the 10th. of Nov is called “Self-made PCB antenna versus chip antenna”.
Every participant will get three Flex-PCB-antennas of www.antenova.com free of charge.
3. Latest wireless modules and antennas at Electronica in Munich, 8th. to 11th. of Nov. 2016
The wireless IoT is already so big that the exhibition Electronica offers one hall (4) for wireless technology. My carrier www.tekmodul.de will stay at hall 4 booth 452:
http://www.electronica-media.de/prj_808/view/index.cfm?nv=4.1&LNG=2&elb=808.1100.1646.1.1111&stand_elb=808.1200.2794.1.1111&pag_styp=1
At hall 4 you can find 100+ stands related to wireless communication.
On 10th. of Nov. I will from 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Wireless Congress (Three hour Antenna Tutorial)
4. Six pages article about NB-IoT and LPWAN
One week before the exhibition in Munich begins the magazine “Elektronik” will publish its special, yearly edition on “Wireless”. The magazine will contain a six pages article about NB-IoT and LPWAN written by me. The digital version is listed here: http://www.elektroniknet.de/kommunikation/wireless/artikel/134629/
The combination of the congress and the exhibition will save your travelling time. What about stopping at hall 4 booth 452 and grabbing some sample antennas and the special edition of the magazine? What about sharing and staying at the three-hour antenna tutorial? What about to talk face to face abut your next wireless project?
Will we meet each other in November in Munich? Many thanks in advance for a confirmation by email to harald.naumann (at) gsm-modem.de
Best regards from the North of Germany
